Teaching

Ruth teaches marketing to graduate students at business schools in the U.S. and abroad. She has served at as adjunct professor of marketing Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business and at NYU’s Stern School of Business, as well as in the continuing education divisions of both universities. She also has taught executives at IBM, Microsoft and Verizon for DukeCE, Duke University’s corporate education unit.

Abroad, she has taught at Singapore Management University, Australian Graduate School of Management, and the American College of Greece, and lectured at CEIBS (Shanghai). Ruth teaches regularly in executive education for Aalto, formerly the Helsinki School of Economics.

At Columbia Business School, Ruth developed a new marketing elective called Customer Acquisition & Retention, which she taught in Columbia’s Executive MBA program. She also developed a new course in marketing metrics that is being taught as a core course in the Master’s Degree in Strategic Communications at Columbia’s continuing education division.

For 5 years, Ruth taught part-time at New York University in the master’s degree program in Direct Marketing. She also developed the marketing core course taught in the graduate program in Information Technology Management, a program that is conducted entirely online in the university’s Virtual College. At NYU, her course schedule included:
